Dr James Cox is a Chartered Principal Geotechnical Engineer at Kier Design with extensive expertise in ground investigation, numerical analysis, and the design of excavations and retaining walls. James holds an MEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering and a PhD in Offshore Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Bristol. James has played a key role in major projects including Marylebone Square, HS2, Hinkley Point C, and Environment Agency CDF schemes. James’ experience spans both temporary and permanent works and is complemented by international engineering work with the United Nations and academic contributions as a guest lecturer.
