Elliott Wood Partnership , associate
Patrick is a structural engineer with a lifelong fascination with the built environment. He works as an Associate at Elliott Wood where he co-leads a team of engineers on a wide variety of challenging design-lead projects. Patrick began his engineering career with consultants Pell Frischmann. Notable projects over his ten years there included the Weston Library in Oxford, 71 Queen Victoria Street and New Street Square in the City of London. Successfully delivering both the design and construction phases of the Weston Library required marrying bold new modernist structure with sensitive heritage building fabric. 71 Queen Victoria Street provided the opportunity to design an innovative relocation of stability cores whilst also gaining approval for increased building massing above a live London Underground station. After a break to explore some far-flung parts of the world, Patrick joined Elliott Wood in June 2015 to add his broad project experience to the vibrant and progressive practice. At Elliott Wood he has acted a lead engineer on projects including the redevelopment of the Whitechapel Building for Derwent London and for the Terminal 4 Hotel project for Toureen.
