Geotechnical Observations

Geotechnical Observations (GeO) is a leading specialist monitoring company, providing the services to the construction industry. GeO supplies and installs all forms of structural and geotechnical monitoring equipment, collects the data and provides assistance, when required, to understand the results.

GeO is the exclusive distributor of ShapeArrays in the UK and Ireland. A ShapeArray is a string of sensors separated by flexible joints, which can be used to measure displacements in tunnels, diaphragm walls, piles, foundations, structures and slopes. ShapeArrays are now the instrument of choice for many, having being used on Crossrail, the Northern Line Extension, Hinkley Point C Nuclear Power Station, the Elan Valley Aqueduct project in Wales and the M8 highway scheme in Scotland .

Geotechnical Observations’ new data and interpretation system Geodaisy® can be used to analyse and interpret the results from ShapeArrays and other types of monitoring equipment in near real-time. Geodaisy® allows engineers to create their own analyses and have them update with new data as it becomes available, giving you the power of a database with the flexibility of a spreadsheet, available 24/7 in an online environment.
